Park City, Utah

It was so nice to start our year with a vacation to Park City, Utah to ski. Our friends, Angela and Chad, planned the trip and were accompanied by their two girls, Brooke and Reece, along with friends Julia and Dave, and, of course, the two of us. We had three great days of skiing at three different resorts: Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Resort (our favorite) and The Canyons Resort.

After a population decline following the shutdown of the area's mining industry, Park City rebounded during the 1980s and 1990s through an expansion of its tourism business. This means the town still has its small town feel but with emerging hip clubs and restaurants, and thriving outdoor activities. The city is also the main location of the United States' largest independent film festival, Sundance, and home of the US Ski Team.

We had a wonderful time skiing, hanging out with friends, shopping in town, relaxing in the hot tub after a day on the slopes, and even playing Uno at night!
