Dan was my assistant today in kitchen as my official taste tester for my new chocolate cupcake creation. It seemed like a good time to try a new recipe since I am charged with bringing cupcakes to my book club get together Monday night since we have several April birthdays in the group. These are chocolate cake with light chocolate icing and fudge in the middle with a fudge drizzle...yum! I have so far resisted eating one and had my taste tester make sure they were good enough to take to others. He said they passed and then second-guessed that answer, said they were bad and they all needed to stay home with him! If only they had no calories...(As far as the book club goes, last month's book was "A Thousand Splendid Suns" and I highly recommend it, especially to those of you who enjoyed "The Kite Runner". It's worth every minute of reading.)
