The tentative title of the movie is "Green Christmas" and our house is the obnoxious, over-the-top house with hundreds of lights, plastic animals, stuffed reindeer and even a boat with a skiing Santa behind it. The plot of the movie is how we try to out-do a new neighbor who lives in a really modern house in the neighborhood and is very environmentally friendly by using waste products to fuel their simple but elegant holiday decor, while we use enough electricity and "stuff" for a small village!
The students are shooting at our house from July 12 to July 14 from 9pm to 1am since the scenes have to be shot at night. They have been working on decorating and other pre-production tasks for the last week and have been very professional. Samantha Polan is the producer and just a sweet college student who is always smiling. It's great to see all of the students enjoying their major so much and all working together so easily. The professors even came out to watch and grade them, in addition to the 30 or so extras on our front lawn, in our driveway or in the backyard at any given time from 6pm until they wrap for the night. Chance and Duke are not liking this invasion of THEIR house, but have been very good about putting up with it all, even sitting by the back doors and watching the action.
All the students' films will be shown in early December and anyone can go to the screenings so come out at the end of the year, and see our famous house on the big screen!

Very Clark Griswald. I love it.
And these pictures don't even do it justice. If only you could see the giant reindeer who is riding IN the boat, driving actually, as Santa skis!
