It's been a while since we've had time to update our blog, this weekend not being an exception, but somehow there was some time left at the end of Sunday. It was another weekend of birthdays, this time for Greg on Friday at Ted's Montana Grill for dinner, and Tien on Saturday for which we went "Cosmic" bowling which is in the dark and everyone wears white so you glow. I don't think bowling in the dark helped our scores any but since neither of us have been in years, and have never been together, getting any pins down we guessed was a good thing!
Sunday morning, we hosted a FUNdraising brunch for my friend Robin's and my race next August (2010) in Colorado - TransRockies. We had 22 people attend and made Skiers French Toast, Pigs in a Blanket, fruit, Mocha Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins, Pear Cake, Southern Breakfast Casserole and Omelets in a Bag (the hit of the event), Mimosas and spiked coffee. We think everyone enjoyed themselves and left stuffed, so in addition to raising a little for our race entry fee (which is $3000), we got to see our friends and not in running clothes or at the gym like we usually do.
Hope everyone had a nice weekend and got to enjoy good friends and family like we did.
