A group of runner friends planned a night run through the Christmas lights of the Betton Hills area, Thomasville Road, Dorothy Oven Park and Hermitage Road on December 10, 2009. We each got to choose a hat to run in whether Santa style, reindeer antlers or Dr. Seuss inspired and ran the five miles looking at lights and talking about Christmas plans. Afterwards, we had appetizers and cocktails at Amy's house (our starting point) which was a nice way to finish a run! We recommend doing this type of run or walk with friends in your neighborhood and we hope to make it a tradition each holiday season.
