The back porch painting project began last year at this time and is about to be completed! Since you can't paint outside when it is too hot, too cold, raining or pollen season, we have had limited opportunities to complete the painting started by Dan over a year ago.
But, after rebuilding the columns to both doorways throughout the end of winter and beginning of spring (a huge job in itself), Dan got the paint rollers and brushes back out this weekend to finish the job. Our porch is almost white now instead of its original blue, and I expect, if the weather cooperates, it will be done by June 1 just in time for summer. Once the painting is done and dry, we will put up the new screen (another big task) and then it will be time to sit back and enjoy a cold beverage on our updated porch!
*Sidenote: anytime the word "we" is used in the above-paragraphs, that usually means Dan, lucky guy!
