Halloween Weekend

Each year, the last weekend in October always brings the Boston, GA mini. This half marathon is my favorite with rolling hills, cows and cotton in Georgia about 45 minutes from Tallahassee. The weather was perfect this year for the race and many of my running buddies got PRs (personal best times) on October 30, including me with 1:52:34. My Mom completed the 5k walk as she always does then scoped-out the craft vendors while waiting on me to finish (finding some fun Christmas gifts in the process).

After the race, I helped set-up the Halloween festival at Grace Mission for a few hours but then had to leave to get ready for Dan's 20th high school reunion, yep, back to Georgia I went. Dan graduated from Thomasville Central and was the last graduating class since they built a new high school and turned his into a middle school. Even though he was reluctant to go, we both had a fun time, and in Augustyniak fashion, stayed out way too late:)

Halloween was low key for us, however, we had the most trick-or-treaters ever this year. Little fairies, witches, ninjas and Harry Potters came to our door from 7pm until 8:30pm which is about the time our pumpkin (which I left outside all week in the humidity) was ending his time with us, too. Hope everyone had a safe and exciting weekend like we did!!
