Finally, warmer weather for the weekend, a reminder of the Florida winter I know and love instead of living in Tallahassee and feeling like you live in Fargo, North Dakota! I'm sure we'll have at least one more cold snap but I love a preview of what is to come in late April and May, 70s and 80s and lots of sunshine.
The nice weather was a perfect backdrop for the Habitat for Humanity build this Saturday where the shingles were put on the roof and caulking, touch-ups were done on the interior. We had close to 35 volunteers at the build and made progress on Johnny and Alfreda Mitchell's new home on Van Fleet Street. Next up, the Habitat 5k on February 26 to fundraise for the next house built!
Even though it was beautiful weather this weekend, Dan and I had some inside furniture painting to do (which is almost complete), however, Dan did manage to spend plenty of time outside working in the yard and getting it ready for spring. This winter warm-up is giving us spring fever a little too earlier, but we are just glad to enjoy it while it's here, even if it doesn't stay for long.
